There are 174 school attendance days in our calendar. Snow days will be made up.Make-up days will be added to the end of the school year.Holidays are figured when tuition and fees for the school year are determined. The monthly tuition or weekly extended care fee is not changed when it contains one or more holidays.

Cancellations and Exceptions

Elementary Snow Days will be made up and do not change the monthly tuition. Childcare is available on snow days (if the entire facility is not closed) to children currently enrolled in the Extended Care Program. When inclement weather forces us to cancel classes the status of FBCA can be found by wathing TV channels 2, 4 or 5 or by checking this website.  An automated telephone message will also be distributed to each student’s family phone contact.   

Depending upon which channel you watch, the message will be:

• “Snow Schedule” - “Opening Late” - “Buses Running on Snow Schedule/Route”
  meaning : “Classes Cancelled, Day Care Available”
         OR
• “CLOSED,” meaning : “Entire Facility Closed, NO Services Available“

Early Childhood will NOT make up snow days. Children enrolled in extended care pay the same weekly fee each week except:

• When the amount is lessened by the use of a “vacation day.” Families enrolled in extended care can use twice your weekly scheduled days of childcare as vacation days - which you don’t pay for!
  For a family enrolled five days a week, there are 10 vacation days per year. For a family enrolled three days per week, there are 6 vacation days per year, etc.
• If your child is sick for three days or more, you will be charged half price for all days missed
  due to the illness. YOU MUST call the office each day of the sickness.
