Mary Wood called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Shauna Willis opened in prayer.
Secretary Minutes (Lori Finifrock):
Ø Minutes of the April 12, 2010 meeting was presented. A motion was made by Kelly Sobotka and seconded by Becky Sander to approve the minutes. The motion was voted upon and approved by all.
Treasurers Report (Brett Dempsey):
Ø First National Bank Checking Account Statement Balance as of 3/31/2010 - $20316.00; Deposits - $0; Cleared Checks – ($841.45) – Misc. Bank Fees ($39.90) Checking account statement balance as of 04/30/2010 - $19,434.65 Total outstanding deposits - $1463.13; total outstanding checks/debits ($1152.15) with a check register balance as of May 10, 2010 of $19,745.63 At this time we do not have any near term expenditures; however, we may have some payments in connection with Field Day. A motion was made by Julie Wasson seconded by Kelly Sobotka to approve the Treasurers Report. The motion was voted upon and approved by all.
Fundraising (Basima Willliams):
§ Great Skate: Basima is going to check to see if we can have the Great Skates on every odd month beginning in September on Tuesdays since that might be a better day than Thursday. If that is not possible, we will keep it on Thursdays.
§ Entertainment Books: Basima is meeting with Amy in June to finalize/secure dates and determine the best way on how to “sell” this fundraiser. One method is to send home 2-5 copies of the book with each child and then if they sell all of them, they can obtain more copies. The sale will be for a two week period. We will probably start promoting this at Parent Orientation which occurs about two week after school start. By doing this, we give the parents/students time to settle into the new school year.
Scrip (Shauna Willis for Dianne Faintich):
Ø PTC fundraising amount from 8/29/2009 – 4/16/2010 - $2,777/50 with a family tuition reimbursement amount (same time period) of $1941.57.
Ø The first Script order date for 2010 – 2011 school year was May 7th with total sales of $3735.00; tuition reimbursement of $66.45 and PTC fundraising of $93.10.
Ø There are new enrollment forms to fill out for your two choices for 2010 – 2011 school year – 50% to tuition account – 50% to FBCA PTC fundraising or 100% to FBCA PTC Fundraising. A motion was made by Brian Wasson and seconded by Basima Williams to approve the Scrip report. The motion was voted upon and approved by all.
Old Business:
Ø PTC Officers for 2010 2011 – The slate of candidates was reviewed and there were no additional nominees made in any of the categories. Mary Wood made a motion to approve the slate of candidates as presented at the April 10, 2010 meeting. The motion was voted upon and approved by all.

Ø Field Day – Field Day is scheduled for Friday, May 14th with a raindate of Monday, May 17th. Inflatables have been ordered and this is such a fun day for the students, parents and teachers!
New Business:
Ø Shauna mentioned that this summer there would be two opportunities for us to promote our school. The first being at the Car Show held on June 5th which occurs in our parking lot and the second being at the O’Fallon Heritage Festival (date not known). Anyone interested in being involved with this should let Shauna know.
